The Santa Fe New Mexican is seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our production team.

What You'll Do:
Cooperate with press crew in the production of printed material under direction of the Press Foreman on our KBA offset web press Achieve and maintain accurate color registration throughout press run Monitor and adjust ink densities to company specifications Lock printing plates in accurate page imposition Know various web leads for correct page imposition Operate densitometer and follow press layout Change out blankets and rollers as needed Assist with packaging or mailroom tasks during shift when necessary Other duties as assigned by press foreman, press manager, and operations director
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship on an offset web press Strong understanding of offset press operation Familiarity with page impositions Experience with press maintenance Strong color discrimination and visual acuity for accurate color registration General computer skills Bilingual Spanish preferred Ability to lift 75 pounds Ability to stand for prolonged periods Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder Why Join Us?
