Job Description

Nesco Resource is currently hiring for a Printing Press Operator for our client in Williamsport, PA. This is an excellent full time day shift opportunity in a temperature controlled environment. Join our team as a key player in managing scheduled print jobs, ensuring that all projects are executed with precision and meet customer specifications. The Printing Press Operator involves optimizing the use of materials while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Organize and manage the daily schedule of inks and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources. Utilize job folders to manually set up the press according to customer specifications. Handle roll stock, dies, and print cylinders, preparing the press for operation. Conduct sample prints to ensure quality and compliance with customer standards. Coordinate with the Production Manager for job approval before full-scale production. Complete and track each job using the press sheet, ensuring accurate records of finished products for future reference. Adhere to daily maintenance schedules and report any advanced maintenance needs to technicians. Additional Duties Participate in weekly and periodic meetings as needed. Write pull tags for jobs in the absence of the Production Manager. Order machine parts digitally to maintain operational efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area daily. Qualifications Experience in commercial printing is a plus Proficiency in computer systems with the ability to learn in-house software. Strong basic math skills and the ability to measure accurately. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Constant standing, bending and walking; frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise. Personal protective equipment may be required; closed-toed shoes are mandatory. Ability to distinguish all colors in the spectrum.

$16.00 per hour
