This position is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and quality control of sheetfed offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of commercial sheetfed printing equipment, excellent color management skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate sheetfed offset printing presses according to job specifications Review job tickets and verify paper stock, ink requirements, color standards, and production schedules Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed Maintain proper color consistency and registration standards Troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues to minimize downtime Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventative upkeep on press equipment Work closely with prepress, bindery, and shipping departments to maintain workflow efficiency Ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all company quality control and safety procedures Qualifications Minimum 4+ years of experience operating sheetfed offset presses in a commercial print environment Strong understanding of offset printing processes, color management, and print quality standards Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Dependable with a strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Ability to stand for extended periods and lift production materials as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-color sheetfed presses Familiarity with coatings, specialty stocks, and advanced finishing requirements Experience in high-volume commercial printing operations Knowledge of preventative press maintenance practices Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Benefits package available Opportunity to work with a respected Memphis printing company known for quality and customer service
