WE ARE HIRING
- Printing Press Operator for
Offset Web Press Position Summary:
Set up and operate multi-color offset web press, ensuring each job is run to customer specifications and meeting internal and external deadlines and maintains quality control and reduces waste and press downtime.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Examine job tickets to determine quantities to be printed, stock specifications, colors or special instructions. Ensure plates are correct for current job. Notify material handler in advance of paper requirements, ink, and consumables needed for current and future jobs. Initiate and perform make ready of jobs per specifications. • Perform press operations such as folder set up and operation, registration , color match per PMS book and general press operations including changing rollers, cleaning and preventative maintenance. Ensure press speeds and quality of productsare maintained. Collect and inspect samples for Q/A inspection prior to initial run and random samples during press operation to identify any adjustments needed and co-ordinate with management. Monitor press during run to ensure a top-quality product.
Qualifications Desired:
Basic knowledge of the printing industry. 2+ years' experience on a web or sheet-fed press preferred but not required. Mechanical ability (working with machinery). Training is available as needed.
