  • Newspaper printing press operator Join our team on our Goss Urbanite newspaper printing press in the beautiful Pineywoods of East Texas.
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and mechanically inclined Pressman to join our team of press operators, maintain print quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help ensure the successful production of award-winning newspapers.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
include: printing quality newspapers, operating and maintaining our Goss Urbanite printing press, learn and improve press and color registration mechanics, schedule and conduct preventative maintenance on the press and other equipment, improve printing efficiencies, and grow with a small family-owned Southern Newspapers Inc. working in tandem with our other presses in Galveston, New Braunfels, and Paris, Texas. This full-time position is four 10-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3 p.m.

m. Competitive compensation based on experience, starting at $14 per hour. Possible assistance with relocation costs is available for the right candidate.

Newspaper printing experience is preferred, but candidates with related commercial printing or industrial press experience are encouraged to apply. Must be able to speak and understand English to perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, stand for up to three hours.
