ABOUT THE ROLE
The Digital Press Operator Tier 1 runs any one of the digital presses, including the Ricoh press, HP presses, and the Amiga 52 laminator. In this role, you will interpret print production work orders to determine the steps needed to produce a wide variety of printing projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work independently and help deliver the highest quality print products and materials. RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in training focused on the basic operation of digital press equipment. Operate a digital press, which includes the Ricoh presses, HP press, and Amiga laminator. Operate and maintain laser etching/engraving equipment in accordance with job specifications and safety standards. Prepare digital files for laser etching, ensuring proper formatting, resolution, and alignment with substrate requirements. Perform regular cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Review and interpret production work orders. Communicate with other departments and staff members to gather any additional information needed to complete the job. Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action, make repairs, and notify supervisor. Communicate information to other shift operators. Work with safety in mind at all times and report any potential unsafe circumstances. Is open and willing to work in other departments if requested. Does other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS 0
  • 2 years of experience in digital printing.
May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance .

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
