This role is responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing press equipment while producing high-quality products that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production goals. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operators play a key role in machine setup, quality control, troubleshooting, process improvement, and supporting safe, efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities Safely operate flexographic printing press equipment and maintain efficient production Perform press setups, changeovers, make-readies, and job preparation activities Select and install cylinders, print sleeves, anilox rolls, inks, and printing materials Monitor print quality, production output, and waste levels throughout each run Perform quality inspections and ensure products meet customer specifications Complete production documentation and maintain accurate inventory records Splice rolls, thread material through equipment, and prepare materials for production Troubleshoot equipment and production issues and escalate concerns when necessary Perform machine cleanups and maintain a clean, organized work area Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and efficiency projects Train and assist Press Assistants and other team members as needed Follow all company safety procedures and identify opportunities for workplace improvements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Ability to work a 12-hour non-rotating 2-2-3 schedule Ability to lift up to 65 pounds Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Strong math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings Preferred Qualifications Previous flexographic printing press experience Experience with press setups, changeovers, and color matching Manufacturing or production experience Experience working with quality standards and production specifications Forklift or material handling equipment experience Basic computer proficiency
