Job Description

Manual soldering and assembly role focused on SMT and through-hole printed circuit board assembly, hand soldering, inspection, cleaning, rework, and production documentation. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of hands-on SMT soldering experience in the electronics assembly field Certification to
J-STD-001
with Space Addendum Ability to maintain technical recertification as required Knowledge of component identification and polarity Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, documentation, and requirements Basic mechanical assembly skills Ability to perform repetitive work Ability to safely operate various types of soldering equipment Ability to lift and carry at least 35 pounds for short distances Experience inspecting electronic components and assemblies using a microscope Experience documenting production operations and defects Preferred Skills

certification Surface mount technology assembly experience Through-hole technology assembly experience Prototype printed circuit board assembly experience Low-volume board assembly experience Hand assembly support experience for machine-placed components Rework and repair experience Cleaning system experience Job Responsibilities Perform manual soldering and assembly operations on prototype and production printed circuit boards Support machine-placed components with hand assembly operations Assemble surface mount and through-hole technology components Pick, insert, and hand solder SMT and leaded components Follow Quality Management System requirements Perform soldering and assembly operations according to training and customer requirements Interpret customer-supplied documentation and drawings Inspect electronic components and assemblies using a microscope Verify completed assemblies meet specific requirements Clean parts and assemblies at various stages of production manually and with cleaning equipment Conduct quality inspections of completed assemblies Perform product rework and repair as needed Complete and maintain production records Complete and maintain defect records Maintain technical recertification as required
