The Mangas-AarKel team is currently looking for candidates that possess a great work ethic and a positive attitude. Are you mechanically inclined? Do you enjoy hands-on work? You might be a good fit for our team! We are currently accepting applications for:
TOOL AND DIE MAKER / ASSEMBLER
•This is a Day Shift Position. Rate of pay will be based on experience. •
Summary:
This assembler position is responsible for cleaning dies and die components; disassemble and assemble dies following instructions; perform basic repairs to dies; and safely operate equipment needed to breakdown dies and perform die repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This job includes but is not limited to the following: Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Must be able to stand and do repetitive assembly operations for eight hours. Must be able to assure required quality to customer specification. Must be able to handle and operate overhead crane system; all hand, air, and other tools associated with the trade. Must be able to operate cut-off saws, mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, etc. Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the job function. Must be willing to continuously improve quality and productivity. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition. Knowledge and ability to fit inserts, slides and spot die. Welding skills with exposure to MIG and TIG welding applications would be a benefit.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Be capable of attaining a forklift license. Moderate physical effort is required, including occasional lifting of 50 pounds, frequent lifting of 30 pounds, frequent walking, bending and twisting. Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to work independently or with others. Good work attendance. Must follow all safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by management. Travel to customer sites. Knowledge of die cast dies in the production environment. Some technical training and one-year in machine shop environment preferred. Good mechanical skills.
