In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, wiring, and inspecting AHUs to ensure they meet quality standards, project specifications, and technical drawings. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AHUs, mechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and basic electrical work. This position is a strong fit for someone who can work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety and quality standards. Duties Assemble and manufacture air handling units (AHUs) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Perform cutting, bending, welding, and mechanical assembly operations Work with laser cutting, press brake/abkant, CNC machines, and other manufacturing equipment when applicable Assemble AHU frames, panels, doors, fans, coils, and related components Install plug fans, belt-driven fans, AC/DC fans, motors, and related components Assist with electrical wiring and control panel installation inside AHUs Fabricate and install panels, doors, and exterior casings Install chilled water coils, DX coils, humidifiers, and other HVAC components Conduct quality inspections to ensure components meet dimensional and functional standards Follow safety protocols for electrical work, machining, welding, and industrial equipment Operate forklifts as needed for material movement Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues and maintain production flow Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience with AHUs, HVAC systems, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly Experience in HVAC manufacturing, industrial equipment assembly, or sheet metal fabrication preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on fabrication skills Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments Experience with electrical wiring and basic schematic interpretation Experience with CNC machining, welding, laser cutting, or press brake/abkant operation preferred Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, machining, welding, and industrial manufacturing Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail Must be authorized to work in the United States Join our team as an AHU Assembly Technician and help manufacture high-quality ventilation systems for commercial and industrial applications.
