Crate Builder Location:
Brea, CA Shift:
Monday- Friday, 6:00 am
- 2:30 pm
- Possible OT requires at end of month
Pay:
$22.00Position Overview:
Fabricates wooden crates/pallets to prepare custom commercial ranges for delivery. We are willing to train for the right candidate who is eager to learn.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Building pallets and crates Operate saws, drill presses, routers, sanders, shapers, milling machines, miter saw, panel saw, skill saw, jig saw and power tools and planers. Inspects product to determine size, materials to be used, and types of supports and braces to be used. Lays out dimensions on materials with ruler, measuring tape, and pencil. Cut wood to size, and assembles pallet. Ensure compliance with shipping orders. Bolt heavy pieces to bottom of container or skid Wraps and pads product with packing material. Build crate around large or odd shaped articles. Attaches identification labels or stencils containing such information as shipping destination, weight, and type of product contained on crate. Repairs broken crates.QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years of experience in woodworking or finish carpentry- cutting, sanding, finishing, and assembling wood and metal 1 year of wood shop experience.
