Wire Harness Assembler Industry:
Areospace Pay rate range: $22•$27/hr. (D.O.E)
Shift:
1st Full Time •Must have recent Hose assembling experince or Wire Harness assembling•Must be able to read blueprints•
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine assembly, testing, quality, customer requirements, and documentation/certification requirements. Uses hand tools and inspection tools such as micrometer, caliper, protractor, feeler gauge, ruler, pressure gauges, torque wrench, etc. Assembles component parts to make hose assemblies by drawings and specifications by crimping, inserting, screwing, shrinking, attaching, or wrapping. Set up and uses machines, such as cut-off saw, crimpers, presses, hydro-test stand, grinder, skiving tool, vulcanizer, etc., to perform assembly operations. Assists inside sales personnel in understanding technical information and requirements about hose assemblies, testing, and shop capabilities. Ensures order is completed promptly. Provides on-the-job training of employees as directed by supervision. Informs supervisor of training results and competency so records may be updated. Works in different work areas based upon workload demand as directed by supervision. Performs inspection duties after approval of the quality director. Responsible for maintaining clean shop and shop break areas, including company property outside the facility. This includes sweeping, mopping, wiping, performing machine maintenance, and removing trash and other items as directed by supervision. Support other departments within the organization as directed by management. (When the need arises, the Hose Assembler may have to work in the Harness Shop or the Warehouse).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shop orders, drawings, and specifications. Ability to write simple facts and data on test data sheets, rework sheets, and certifications. Ability to effectively communicate simple facts with courtesy and clarity to employees of the organization and, occasionally, customers or clients. Must be able to speak and read English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute length, percent, and test pressures.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risks electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Please apply online www.
