Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Assembler / Production Technician to join our rapidly moving manufacturing facility in Sylmar. If you have hands-on experience with hand and power tools, a strong commitment to quality standards, and thrive in an assembly line environment, you are the ideal candidate. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient production of high-quality products.
Core Responsibilities Precision Assembly:
Perform detailed assembly of components and products precisely according to engineering specifications and written work instructions.
Tool Operation:
Proficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools (drills, rivet guns, air tools, etc.) to complete assembly tasks quickly and accurately.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct consistent quality checks and visual inspections on finished products to ensure 100% compliance with company standards and reduce defects.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet aggressive production goals and maintain consistent assembly line flow. Safety & 5
S:
Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S methodologies and strictly adhere to all facility safety protocols and guidelines.
Mentorship:
Assist supervisors in training and onboarding new employees on proper assembly techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.
Reporting:
Promptly report any component discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisory staff.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Aptitude:
Strong attention to detail, exceptional manual dexterity, ability to follow complex blueprints or diagrams, and effective verbal communication skills.
Physical:
Ability to stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive tasks required on a high-speed assembly line, and manage repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
