DOE Skills:

Configure, calibrate, and evaluate Lasers, assemble Focusing Heads check working distance. Build a varied range of precision electro-mechanical assemblies. Build, wire-up and test semi-automated, single-operator materials processing workstations. Able to train/mentor new employees. Work with and train customers and service engineers. Read schematic and wiring diagrams. Professional soldering and wiring. Design and build wire harnesses. Must know electronic hardware like terminal blocks, connectors, panel components, switches, controls, indicators, panel meters - things found on industrial equipment. Light machining (i.e.) drilling holes in sheet metal to mount components. PC computer software and hardware troubleshooting 2-year electronics technical degree or equivalent trade school certificate and experience 2 - 5 years' experience in building and testing one-of-a-kind custom equipment Worked of wiring diagrams. Worked out minor implementation changes on the fly to expedite, build and evaluate. Specified electronic control items like switches, indicators, terminal blocks from standard supply houses like Graingers, McMaster-Carr, Newark, etc. #
