Console Assembly Technician One Stop Truck & Equipment North Highlands, CA Job Details Full-time From $16.90 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Paid sick time Qualifications Hand tools Full Job Description Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Console Assembly Technician to build and assemble vehicle console systems used in emergency response and public safety vehicles. This position involves hands-on assembly work, reading work instructions, using basic hand tools, and ensuring each console is built accurately, cleanly, and to specification. The right person for this role is mechanically inclined, organized, and able to produce consistent, high-quality work in a shop environment. Responsibilities Assemble vehicle console systems according to work orders, drawings, and build instructions. Install brackets, panels, hardware, mounting components, and related console accessories. Use basic hand tools safely and correctly. Verify parts, hardware, and components before and during assembly. Follow assembly procedures to ensure consistent fit, finish, and quality. Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, cleanliness, and defects. Report missing parts, damaged components, or build issues to a supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with inventory staging, parts organization, and general shop duties as needed. Work with the production team to meet build schedules and deadlines. Follow all company safety procedures and shop policies. Qualifications Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read basic instructions, diagrams, work orders, or build sheets. Good mechanical aptitude. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn company assembly standards and procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work with hands for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry parts up to 50 lbs or materials as needed. Comfortable working in a shop or production environment. Ability to safely operate tools and handle metal, plastic, and hardware components. Preferred Experience Vehicle upfitting experience. Console, cabinet, equipment rack, or interior component assembly experience. Experience working with public safety, fleet, or commercial vehicle equipment. Basic wiring or 12V electrical experience is a plus but not required. Experience reading production drawings or assembly diagrams. Previous assembly, manufacturing, installation, fabrication, or mechanical experience preferred. Work Environment This position is performed in a shop/production setting. The work is hands-on and requires accuracy, consistency, and the ability to follow established assembly processes.

From $16.90 per hour
