Manufacturing Full Job Description Assembler I Location:
Pomona, CA Wage:
$20.00/hr
Shift:
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | Monday - Friday Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler I to join our unit in Pomona. This role is essential for the production, filling, and packaging of critical reagents within a regulated quality system environment. You will be responsible for setting up specialized equipment, including Masterflex pumps, and ensuring all products meet strict quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in Pharma, Medical Device, or Food manufacturing who excel at following detailed written instructions and maintaining accurate physical documentation.
What You'll Be Doing Equipment Setup:
Perform setup, adjustments, and routine troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, specifically setting up Masterflex pumps for precise volume fills.
Production & Packaging:
Assemble, fill, and package reagents in compliance with approved documentation, Quality System Regulations (QSR), and line clearance protocols.
Documentation:
Complete and verify the accuracy of printed (non-digital) documentation associated with manufactured products and equipment maintenance.
Maintenance & Support:
Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment installation/validation.
Quality & Improvement:
Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S and OEE , and participate in root cause analysis for quality initiatives.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean work area, perform housekeeping duties, and properly dispose of hazardous waste material in designated areas.
What We're Looking For Experience:
2-5 years of experience in assembling, filling, and packaging reagents. (3 years in medical device or pharma manufacturing is highly preferred).
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer skills and minimal Excel knowledge; ability to read and comprehend complex work orders and SOPs.
Mathematical Aptitude:
Ability to perform basic math for volume calculations and inventory tracking.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 15 lbs.
Requirements GMP Knowledge:
Foundational understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and working within a quality system environment.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with Engineers, QC Technicians, and Management.
Professionalism:
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior with both internal and external associates.
