• 20 / hr Riverside, CA 92507No experience required About the Role Innovative Design and Sheet Metal Products (IDSMP) is a growing custom fabrication company in Riverside, CA, specializing in law enforcement and commercial vehicle equipment.

We build everything in-house — from laser-cut and precision-bent sheet metal components to fully assembled, polyurea-coated enclosures and command center builds. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Assembler I to join our Assembly team. This is a great entry point into a skilled manufacturing environment — no prior assembly experience is required. If you're someone who takes pride in their work, follows instructions carefully, and shows up ready to contribute, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Assemble IDSMP's standard product lines — including consoles and false floor systems — using provided build instructions and established procedures Use hand tools and power tools safely to install hardware, components, and accessories per the work order Maintain accurate part counts and keep build documentation with the assembly at all times Keep your workstation clean, organized, and your tools in good working condition Communicate clearly with your Assembly Lead when something doesn't look right — missing parts, unclear instructions, or quality concerns Support teammates as needed and contribute to a team-first work environment What We're Looking For No prior assembly experience required — a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic matter most Basic familiarity with common hand tools and power tools is a plus Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately and consistently Good communication skills — you ask questions when unsure and speak up when something is off Reliable and punctual — your team depends on you showing up ready to work Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as part of normal daily tasks
