Assembler - Combiner Harness Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our team and contribute to the preparation and assembly of electrical and electronic parts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to follow assembly instructions, and experience working with hand and power tools. This is a day shift position working 5:00am-1:45pm Monday-Friday + mandatory overtime as needed including Saturdays. (10+ hours). Responsibilities Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies using templates and reading measurements accurately. Tighten and fasten prefabricated electrical or electronic parts and install components using rivets, bolts, screws, clamps, and similar hardware. Prepare wire by identifying and separating wires by color, trimming, clipping, tinning wires and leads, and wiring according to predetermined specifications. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies. Drill and tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments. Measure, cut, and glue PVC pipe as needed. Participate in cross-training activities as required. Use a square bit power drill to construct tables used for storage. Pack wires onto carts to be palletized and ensure correct fulfillment of orders by initialing QC sheets. Spool wires to specified lengths, label, cut, and zip tie ends using a custom-built machine. Store wires into carts for movement to different departmental areas. Use electronic devices to test the electric current of wires and place specific color tape on wires. Utilize a polypropylene strapping kit to secure bags to pallets for shipment. Apply sandpaper to thicker wires, clean with alcohol, and use a heat gun to glue rings onto wires using a custom measuring tool. Follow safety measures, such as unplugging heat guns and storing them properly. Essential Skills Proficient in assembly processes and the use of hand and power tools. Experience with blueprint reading and mechanical assembly. Skilled in wiring, splicing wires, and crimping. Familiarity with production line procedures and assembling parts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with electronic testing devices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a non-temperature controlled warehouse where you will work 8-10 hour days, often up to 6 days a week. You will be on your feet for 10 hours a day, and PPE such as steel toe boots, safety vests, and glasses will be required and provided on site. The shift runs from 5:00 am to 1:45 pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
