Job Description

Fabricator/Welder Location:
Santa Maria, California Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Full-Time Pay Range:
$18.00-$24.00 per hour (DOE) Position Summary The Production/Fabricator is responsible for assembling and welding reinforcing steel cages used in the manufacturing of concrete products. This role works closely with production teams to interpret drawings, fabricate rebar cages, and complete general welding and shop tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Follow instructions and take direction from supervisors and leads Read and interpret production/shop drawings to determine rebar and mesh specifications Cut, bend, and weld rebar to fabricate cages according to specifications Perform general welding duties using various shop tools and equipment Inspect equipment daily and report any issues to supervisors Maintain a clean and safe work area by removing debris and materials Assist with operating or supporting cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment as needed Support additional production tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Basic English reading and writing skills preferred Minimum 1 year of welding experience (certifications and/or references preferred) Knowledge of welding equipment and safety practices Ability to read and interpret production drawings Experience using tape measures and basic hand/power tools Strong attention to safety and ability to follow company policies Ability to work effectively in a team environment Willingness to work overtime when required Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and balancing Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
