Days & Swing Job Description:
The Assembler is responsible for positioning and fastening parts, performing minor metal finishing, operating basic shop equipment, and maintaining quality standards throughout the assembly process. This role supports production needs by assembling and disassembling components such as power brake boosters, air-brake compressors, and valves, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or by following drawings. Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to ensure proper fit between parts. Operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to support assembly operations. Disassemble power brake boosters, air-brake compressors, and valves to salvage usable parts. Maintain quality standards by performing inspections using Factory Acceptance Sheets. Follow all safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform all essential job duties accurately and efficiently. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions, diagrams, and safety procedures. Strong teamwork, quality focus, and organizational support skills. Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and task completion. Must be able to pass a Drug and Background screen
Education:
High school diploma or GED One to three months of related experience/training Equivalent combination of education and experience
