Job Title:
Assembly Technician Job Description The Assembly Technician supports bioprocessing and manufacturing operations by preparing formulations, performing quality checks, operating filling and sealing equipment, and assembling and packaging finished products. This role combines hands-on production work with careful documentation and inventory tracking in a structured manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Prepare solutions and blends by following detailed batch instructions and formulation procedures. Mix ingredients accurately, adjust pH as required, and verify that blends remain consistent throughout production. Perform basic quality control measurements, including weight, viscosity, and density checks. Conduct visual inspections of in-process and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Collect and label samples for quality testing and documentation purposes. Operate manual and automated filling equipment to dispense products into appropriate containers. Complete in-process weight checks during filling to ensure accurate fill volumes and compliance with specifications. Perform sealing and integrity tests on filled containers to confirm proper closure and prevent leaks. Assemble components and subassemblies according to written instructions, drawings, or work orders. Complete final closures and packaging of finished products in accordance with manufacturing and quality guidelines. Receive materials and components, verify quantities, and record relevant information such as lot numbers. Track and maintain lot numbers and other traceability information for all materials and finished goods. Maintain environmental logs and production records accurately and in a timely manner. Finalize batch records by completing all required documentation and ensuring it is accurate and complete. Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while using tools, small equipment, and production machinery. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support efficient production flow and resolve basic issues during assembly or filling. Essential Skills 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a lab-adjacent environment. Hands-on experience with assembly or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or light industrial setting. Experience working with medical device or medical device assembly processes, or similar regulated environments. Comfort using tools, small equipment, and production machinery in a safe and controlled manner. Ability to perform precise measurements, including weight, viscosity, density, and pH adjustments. Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent blends, accurate fills, and correct assembly of components. High level of documentation accuracy for batch records, environmental logs, and inventory tracking. Proficiency with Excel for recording data, tracking production information, and maintaining logs. Ability to follow written instructions, batch records, and standard operating procedures consistently. Dependable work habits and reliability in a structured production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in biopharmaceutical, bioprocessing, or related manufacturing environments. Experience as a light industrial assembler or production assembler. Familiarity with inventory tracking, lot number management, and traceability requirements. Comfort working in a quality-focused environment with routine inspections and checks. Interest in supporting regional biotech and bioprocessing operations. Why Work Here? The environment is structured and process-driven, with a strong emphasis on documentation, batch records, and quality checks. You can expect to work in a production area where cleanliness, organization, and adherence to procedures are essential, and where collaboration with other production and quality team members is a regular part of the day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
