Your Impact/The Role Assembler I is an entry-level role, performing basic mechanical assembly and learning production processes. Job Responsibilities Perform basic mechanical assembly using hand tools and fixtures in accordance with written, graphic, and pictorial work instructions Under supervision, perform mechanical, electrical, electronic, and/or optical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and calibration activities Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with company and system requirements Identify, report, and escalate non-conforming materials, defects, or process issues to supervision or quality personnel Support material handling activities, including inventory movement, kitting, and organization of work areas Participate in new product introductions, prototype builds, and product or process changes as needed Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners to meet production goals Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in accordance with 5S and safety standards Support continuous improvement by identifying waste, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement within the work area This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Required Qualifications Ability to read, interpret, and follow written, graphical, and pictorial work instructions Basic proficiency using hand tools in a manufacturing, lab, or assembly environment Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and the ability to ask questions and learn new tasks Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office or similar systems Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a regulated production environment Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems Exposure to mechanical, electrical, electronic, or optical assembly processes Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role primarily operates in an office/lab/manufacturing environment. Must be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time Lifting of up to 25 lbs. required, multiple times per day Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role Compensation & Benefits Base starting salary: $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience Our compensation philosophy: we offer competitive pay based on market data, including local, national, and industry benchmarks. For new hires, offers are generally within the established min- to mid-point of the range for the role, with flexibility to recognize experience, skills, and education. Our approach ensures fair pay internally while remaining competitive externally and allows room for growth.
