Job Description
Position Overview International Stoneworks is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Fabricator to join our growing countertop fabrication team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled fabricator who takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, efficiency, and leadership within a fast-paced stone shop environment. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience fabricating and finishing natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and sintered stone materials while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and safety. Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of countertop fabrication experience required
- Reliable transportation to and from Palmer Lake, CO
- Strong dependability and consistent attendance are essential
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work safely in a fabrication environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Required Skills & Experience
- Fabricating natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and sintered stone
- Miter fabrication and assembly
- Integrated sink fabrication
- Seam preparation and finishing
- Edge polishing and finishing
- Operating fabrication equipment and hand tools safely
- Reading shop drawings and fabrication details
- Layout and material optimization
- Repair work and troubleshooting fabrication issues
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas Responsibilities
- Lead daily fabrication activities within the shop
- Ensure quality control standards are consistently met
- Fabricate countertops accurately and efficiently
- Train and mentor less experienced shop personnel
- Coordinate with templators, installers, and management to ensure project success
- Identify and prevent fabrication errors before installation
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs
