Imagine taking a complex print in the morning, choosing the right setup across a manual mill, grinder, or CNC by noon, and solving a production bottleneck before the end of the day. If turning drawings into dependable tools and dies is your craft, this role lets you own the full lifecycle—from concept and fabrication to testing, maintenance, and continuous improvement. What will you do? Create and restore high-precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures aligned to engineering specs and production needs. Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment to produce components to tight tolerances. Translate blueprints, drawings, and work orders into accurate machining plans. Inspect, test, and validate tooling for quality, safety, and repeatable performance. Troubleshoot and repair tools/dies to reduce downtime and stabilize throughput. Conduct routine maintenance and adjustments to sustain reliability. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and elevate efficiency. Document specs, maintenance activities, and repair history thoroughly. Adhere to safety protocols and required PPE while operating machinery and handling tooling. Maintain a clean, organized toolroom that supports safe, efficient work. Drive continuous improvement in tool design, performance, and manufacturing methods. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Who are you? An experienced tool and die maker with a manufacturing background. Comfortable interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Proficient with machining tools and equipment, including CNC. A natural troubleshooter with strong problem-solving skills. Detail-obsessed with a precision mindset. Mechanically inclined with real-world fabrication and repair skills. Independent yet collaborative with cross-functional partners. Safety-conscious and consistent with PPE. An effective communicator across engineering, production, and more. Experienced in transfer tooling, miniature retainer bearings. Work Environment:
Manufacturing floor with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
Physical Demands:
Role may require occasional walking, standing, and warehouse site visits.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.
Travel:
