6 Seymour, CT Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Identifying materials in blueprints Blueprint specification interpretation TIG welding Aluminum Dimensional measurements Stainless steel Reading weld symbols Production document interpretation Full Job Description Job Summary Precision TIG (and MIG) weld or join metal components (aluminum, steel & stainless steel) of fabricated metal products. Can predominantly work independently; with little to no guidance. Essential Functions Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and/or product specs of desired product Calculate and mark the dimensions of metal parts to be welded Inspect material and ensure all parts are properly fitted/aligned before welding Use of TIG (and sometimes MIG) welding Continuously check precision weld quality Move product to and from different areas as needed; the use of manual hand trucks and hydraulic assisted hand trucks Maintain a clean work area and keep up supplies needed to complete daily work Other duties may be assigned
