Assembler - LARGO AREA Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembler / Cable Assembler to join our production team. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting electrical and electronic components, cable harnesses, and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong hand-eye coordination, the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and experience working in a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment. Essential Responsibilities Assemble cable harnesses, wire assemblies, and electronic components according to specifications. Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring schematics, blueprints, and work instructions. Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires and cables. Route and secure wiring using approved assembly techniques. Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies using hand and power tools. Perform continuity testing and basic electrical testing on completed assemblies. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. Identify and report defects, discrepancies, or process issues. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in electronics assembly, cable assembly, wire harness assembly, or manufacturing preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions. Experience using hand tools, crimping tools, wire strippers, and measuring devices. Soldering experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills preferred. Preferred Experience Cable and wire harness assembly. IPC-A-610 or
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards. Soldering and electronic component assembly. Electrical testing and troubleshooting. Manufacturing or production environment experience. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent use of hands and fingers for small-part assembly. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Good vision and manual dexterity for detailed assembly work.
