Fabricator at Tawnika Trucking in PARMA, Idaho, United States Job Description Fabricator / Mill Construction Support - Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the construction and installation of a rock crushing mill system Work directly with the Millwright to fit, align, and assemble structural and mechanical components Measure, mark, and cut materials (steel, pipe, plate) to specification Assist with fabrication of chutes, hoppers, supports, guards, and conveyors Operate basic shop and field tools (grinders, torches, saws, drills, etc.) Help stage, rig, and position heavy components using forklifts, loaders, or hoisting equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in both shop and field environments Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs as needed Follow direction to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions Support troubleshooting and modifications during mill build-out Preferred / Bonus Skills (Not Required) Welding (MIG, stick, or flux-core) Experience in aggregate, mining, or heavy industrial environments Familiarity with conveyors, crushers, screening plants, or material handling systems Basic mechanical aptitude (bearings, shafts, alignment, etc.) Core Expectations Strong work ethic and reliability Willingness to learn, be coached, and take direction Ability to work in outdoor, dusty, and physically demanding environments Commitment to safety and team-oriented work Comfortable lifting, climbing, and working around heavy equipment
