Responsibilities Assembly processes in accordance with provided instructions, and apply prior experience to work with limited or no instructions when needed. Assist in creating or improving work instructions and documentation when existing guidance is incomplete or unavailable. Follow standard work procedures, quality policies, and customer specifications to ensure all assembled products meet required quality standards. Monitor the quality of your own work, identify defects or issues, and communicate effectively with supervisors, escalating concerns when necessary. Maintain accurate timekeeping and labor tracking records to support production planning and reporting. Perform precise record keeping for inventory control, process documentation, scrap reporting, and quality records. Support and actively participate in improvement initiatives focused on safety, cleanliness, product quality, and operational efficiency. Generate and share innovative ideas and solutions to help resolve complex production or process problems. Stay current on all certifications and training requirements associated with the role and complete all assigned training on time. Consistently complete assigned tasks and workloads within expected timeframes without compromising on quality. Train other team members on tasks and processes when assigned, sharing best practices and promoting consistent work standards. Adapt to changing priorities and tasks on the production floor while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to procedures. Use computers and basic software tools to access work instructions, enter production data, and update required documentation. Skills & Qualifications Prior assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks. Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use computers to follow instructions and record production data. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and high product quality. Ability to adapt to change in tasks, priorities, and processes. Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members. Ability to learn new tasks quickly and perform different tasks on a frequent basis. Sound judgment and initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and act responsibly on the production floor.
