JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective Assembler" will work under moderate supervision from part drawings, operation sheet, samplesand verbal instructions to fabricate and assemble a limited variety of small lightweight units andcomponents. Essential Functions Work is of a somewhat precise nature involving less intricate units and following standardized and prescribed procedures. Measure lengths and diameters using ruler, tapes and micrometers. Operations are generally diversified and may include such activities as:a. Cutting, stripping, crimping and connecting wires.b. Forming and bending components,c. Silver soldering,d. Electrical testing. Work requires care and dexterity to maintain prescribed specifications and to insureconformance to quality standards. Uses various hand and power tools and operates equipment such as:a. Wire cutterb. Stripper,c. Soldering Torchd. Sandblastere. Electrical testing and gauging devicesf. Tweezer welding. Prepares and maintains various production records; detects faulty material, defective partsand reports improper operating conditions to supervisor. . Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, andregulations. Able to perform the lower classifications within the department. Competencies1. Dexterity in working with small parts. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Good communication skills (Oral and Written).
