Job Description

Crane Equipment and Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced individual with a technical background to fill our Crane Fabricator position. Assemble structural forms such as crane components, cranes, jib cranes, and structures; perform electrical assembly/wiring for overhead cranes, testing cranes, and repair hoists by performing the following duties.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
. Wiring new cranes in the fabrication process Assemble 3-phase and Single-phase electric hoists to configuration requirements. Assemble pneumatic hoists to configuration requirements. Assemble and wire control boxes. Understand wiring to PLC and troubleshooting process. Assemble and test electric and pneumatic chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists, and push/geared/motorized trolleys per customer's specifications. Assemble and test crane system electrical components including bridge control boxes, crane wiring, end truck motors, and other related assemblies per customer specifications. Assembles equipment including gates and components per blueprints/job specifications within quality standards and allotted routing time. Operates various handheld pneumatic and electric power tools and other machinery including drills, drivers (screws and other fasteners), riveters (pistol grip, pop riveters, mashers, and squeezers), impact wrenches, nut runners, saws, and grinders. Determines proper material layout including hydraulic hosing, air hosing, and electrical wiring and junction boxes per blueprints/job specifications within quality standards and allotted routing time. Drills, taps, and fits-up materials/components/products per blueprints/job specifications within quality standards and allotted routing time. Inspects and operates finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality requirements; completes product inspection list. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Observe all safety and security procedures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs Overtime/weekends are sometimes required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience with cranes and hoists, or relevant industrial experience Strong electrical and mechanical abilities Ability to read blueprints. PLC knowledge
