Job Description

1st Shift - Mechanical Machine Builder (Heavy Industrial) Build Industrial Equipment That Makes an Impact We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Machine Builder to join our first‑shift team. In this role, you'll assemble and test custom machinery from prints to final operation. If you enjoy hands‑on work, building complex equipment, and seeing a machine come to life because of your skills—this role is for you. You'll work with precision components, mechanical systems, and basic electrical connections in a safety‑focused manufacturing environment where quality and teamwork matter. What You'll Do Assemble filtration machinery and related equipment to meet production and quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and engineering drawings Fit, align, and assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, motors, and pumps Cut, fit, and connect piping, tubing, and basic electrical components Drill, tap, bolt, and fasten parts using hand and power tools Perform welding, fabrication, and basic wiring as needed Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and final adjustments to ensure reliable operation Inspect parts and assemblies for fit, finish, and defects Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work closely with teammates to meet production schedules What We're Looking For Required Experience & Skills Experience in mechanical assembly or machine building (industrial/manufacturing setting) Ability to read and work from blueprints and engineering drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on tool experience Ability to assemble complete machines from individual parts and subassemblies Experience drilling, tapping, fastening, fitting, and aligning components Comfort with basic electrical and piping connections Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience with hydraulics or mechanical maintenance Welding and fabrication experience Experience in industrial installation or construction environments Maintenance technician experience Why Join Our Team? ✅ Great Benefits Package Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with competitive company match Paid vacation starting at 10 days , increasing annually Paid holidays, floating days, and additional PTO ✅ Stable Schedule & Work‑Life Balance Structured shifts and clear overtime expectations Long‑term career opportunities with a growing company ✅ Supportive Work Culture Safety‑focused environment Team‑oriented shop with pride in craftsmanship Work Schedule 1st
Shift:
Typically 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30‑minute lunch) Standard 8‑hour shifts; occasional 10‑hour days based on production needs Occasional Saturday work (up to 8 hours) Some flexibility needed for 6:00 AM start times Work Environment This is a hands‑on manufacturing role in a historic industrial facility with great natural light. Temperatures vary seasonally—fans, open doors, cold drinks, and frozen treats help during warmer months. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
