Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Technician Job Description This role involves performing a variety of light mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment, adhering to exact specifications and working with close tolerances. Utilizing fixtures along with simple hand and power tools, you will also perform remanufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, and inspection of small dispensing units and major subassemblies. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a four-day workweek, with occasional overtime when required. Responsibilities Perform light mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment to exact specifications. Utilize fixtures, hand tools, and power tools effectively. Conduct remanufacturing operations such as disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, and inspection of small dispensing units and major subassemblies. Essential Skills Experience with assembly line work. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Basic math ability. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Basic computer, mechanical, and plumbing experience. Blueprint reading skills. Ability to interpret color coding for basic wiring. Ability to distinguish between various metals for sorting. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Friday shifts for 6-8 hours as needed. Physical demands include standing for up to 10 hours. Employees must pass a drug screen and background check. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Roscoe, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
