Crate Assembler Wood Shop First Shift Location Butler Indiana Pay 17 per hour Schedule Monday through Thursday 600am to 430pm Company Overview We are a growing manufacturer of storage unit doors seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team. This is a hands on position in a fast paced production environment with opportunities to learn and grow. Position Summary As a Crate Assembler in the wood shop you will build crates and skids used to ship finished doors. This role involves measuring, cutting, and assembling wood materials while ensuring durability and proper fit for safe transport. Key Responsibilities Build wooden crates and skids to specifications Measure and cut lumber using saws and other equipment Assemble crates using nail guns, staples, or hand tools Ensure crates are structurally sound for shipping heavy products Read and follow work instructions or basic diagrams Maintain inventory of wood materials and supplies Keep work area clean and organized Assist with moving completed crates and materials as needed Skills and Qualifications Ability to use hand tools and power tools such as saws and nail guns Basic measuring skills and attention to detail Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous woodworking or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required What We Offer Consistent full time hours Opportunity for overtime On the job training Stable work environment with room for growth #auburn
