Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for assembling hose, cable, and other reels by following shop packets and job instructions. Tasks include prepping, building, hosing, and testing using various hand tools (battery-operated, pneumatic) and mechanical fastening machines. Finished reels are packaged, labeled, and palletized for shipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all company and department safety guidelines. Read and interpret shop packets and job instructions. Lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly. Operate hand tools (battery-operated, pneumatic) and mechanical fastening equipment. Use hands, fingers, and wrists consistently to pull and manipulate parts. Complete each phase of the assembly process. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet departmental goals. Must be open to cross training between all departments on the plant floor.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures, and operating or maintenance instructions.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions provided in oral, written, or diagram form. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders effectively.Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds from ground level. Occasional squatting, stooping, pushing, and pulling of pallet jacks and Kan Ban containers.Work Environment:
Exposure to forklifts, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels are typically loud. Temperature varies from hot to cold depending on outdoor weather.
