Experienced Fabricator

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an experienced fabricator. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right." Welder/Fabricator Job Responsibilities Weld and fabricate products as indicated on mechanical drawings Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition Welder/Fabricator Minimum Requirements Mechanical and mathematical aptitude 8-10 years' Mig and Tig welding/fabricating experience Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols Ability to use precision measuring equipment Ability and willingness to learn High school diploma or equivalent Welder/Fabricator Desired Skills Familiarity with forklift operation Familiarity with rigging and use of overhead crane Basic computer literacy This is a Monday-Friday, day shift position with some overtime available on Saturdays.
