We specialize in designing, engineering, fabricating, installing and servicing custom storage and reclaim systems for silos, domes and open piles. Our innovative solutions are tailored to handle materials with poor flow characteristics, serving a wide range of industries including food processing, biomass, mining, and more. Laidig Systems Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Heavy Mechanical Equipment Assembler . The Heavy Mechanical Equipment Assembler role involves assembling by hand, OEM reclaimer machines to print specifications and written instructions. A strong mechanical aptitude is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bill of material, work orders, and workflow routings. As part of this role, you will document the assembly process through photographs and written procedures, modify components as needed, and operate air, electric, and hydraulic tools and machinery, including large capacity overhead cranes and oxygen/acetylene torch, in cutting and heating of steel components . This is a first shift position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide and maintain personal hand tools, toolbox, steel-toed footwear, and prescription safety glasses (if needed).
  • Assemble and test-run products following written and verbal instructions.
  • Package assemblies and build wooden crates to transport finished goods per verbal and written instruction.
  • Log daily working hours using company business system software.
  • Ensure attention to final fit and finish details.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Work overtime as required
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Team Leaders
  • Demonstrate initiative, a positive attitude, honesty and reliability Qualifications /
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proof of mechanical aptitude
Work Environment:
    Direct Team Size:
    4-6 machine builders.
