Responsibilities Perform simple mechanical assembly of in-process units, focusing on box building and box finishing tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both fabrication and assembly sections. Adhere to all safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and compliance with facility safety policies. Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors to meet production goals and timelines. Inspect work for quality, identify defects or issues, and make necessary adjustments to meet established standards. Support continuous workflow by moving units between workstations as they progress through the assembly process. Follow all plant rules regarding dress code, equipment use, and safe operation of tools and machinery. Essential Skills Previous experience in a job that required standing for at least 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Ability to repetitively lift 30-40 pound parts up to 50 or more times per day. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in mechanical assembly. Ownership of steel-toed or composite-toed protective shoes suitable for industrial work. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment. Comfort working in an organized but space-constrained assembly area. Ability to adapt to different workstations, including fabrication, deburring, brazing, and basic hand tool work. Why Work Here? Employees benefit from a temperature-controlled facility, structured career progression opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. There is a clear pathway to advance into higher-level roles, including Assembler II and other higher-paying positions. The organization offers paid holidays, additional floating holidays, generous vacation of up to 120 hours per year, and 40 hours of sick time annually, provided from day one and accrued over time.
