Job Description

About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will transform raw steel into high-quality structural components through precision welding and assembly. You will play a critical role in our production cycle by interpreting complex design prints and ensuring that every finished product meets rigorous structural integrity standards. Responsibilities Interpret detailed engineering drawings to accurately fit and weld materials to project specifications. Execute high-quality structural welds using modern equipment and appropriate filler materials. Perform precise finishing work, including grinding and surface preparation, to ensure professional-grade results. Collaborate with shop leadership and cross-functional teams to streamline production workflows and meet project deadlines. Maintain a safe and organized workspace by adhering to all industrial health and safety protocols. Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, to move materials and support shop operations. Conduct self-inspections on all work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design requirements. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Proven experience in structural welding and metal fabrication. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design schematics. Demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift in an industrial environment. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform a variety of movements including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Preferred Skills Prior experience in complex assembly and advanced welding techniques. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing production needs. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning new fabrication methodologies.
