Truck Fabricator Upfitter

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our upfitting team. In this role, you will be responsible for customizing medium and heavy-duty truck chassis with a variety of truck beds and aftermarket equipment. The primary tasks include the installation and replacement of truck beds, encompassing various configurations such as dump beds, service bodies, flat beds, roll backs, water tankers, cranes, and custom-built multipurpose bodies.

Responsibilities:

Assemble and install equipment onto truck chassis according to specifications. Modify and fabricate truck components as necessary to meet client requirements. Read and understand manufacturer diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Measure and cut materials accurately to minimize waste and mistakes. Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions on builds. Focus on high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all installations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications One year of automotive or commercial truck mechanical experience. Proficient welding skills, primarily MIG and Flux core on mild steel, occasionally stainless steel or aluminum. Wiring and 12V electrical knowledge Understanding of hydraulics systems fabrication Out of box thinking and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with good organizational skills

$22.00 - $33.00 per hour
