Job Description
Structural Assembler - EZ01 Wichita, KS 67209 Apply Apply Description SUMMARY The Structural Assembler assembles structural sections of aircraft using parts, subassemblies, and components and/or installs functional units, parts or equipment. This position involves working from technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to assemble aircraft and aerospace components, ensuring quality standards are met. Collaborates with engineering teams, uses hand tools and specialized equipment, and follows stringent safety guidelines to produce high-quality products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assembles structural sections of aircraft using fabricated parts, subassemblies, and components by safely using hand tools and power tools in accordance with blueprints and specifications. Drill holes into structure and subassemblies and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips. Cuts, trims, and files parts to the proper fit. Locates and identifies reference points and holes for installation of parts using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments. Ensures parts are aligned to acceptable tolerances. Inspects and tests installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, form, and function in compliance with standards using appropriate measuring instruments and test equipment. Tends machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides guidance to bench assemblers when needed. Provides assistance to other production areas as needed. Maintains clean work area, tools, and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE
Ability to read blueprints required. Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed. Ability to safely and properly use gauges, calipers, and other tools and equipment. Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.COMPETENCIES

Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required. 1 year of experience in aerospace assembly, manufacturing, or a related technical field required . Vocational training or certification in aerospace technology, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.WORKING CONDITIONS
Assemblers typically work in manufacturing plants, hangars, or specialized cleanrooms. The environment may include exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, fumes, and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals or materials, depending on the project. Assemblers must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and occasionally full-body suits. The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. Assemblers may also work in awkward positions to reach components during the assembly process.Safety Hazards:
There are inherent risks in working with heavy machinery, sharp tools, and potentially hazardous materials. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.Shift and Hours:
