Job Title:
Assembler Job Description The Assembler operates production machinery and tools to assemble, inspect, and package products according to established work instructions and quality standards. This role supports a high-volume manufacturing environment by following safety procedures, meeting production goals, and collaborating with team members to maintain efficient and reliable operations. Responsibilities Operate production machinery, tools, and equipment in a safe, efficient, and consistent manner. Assemble products and components according to written work instructions, diagrams, and verbal directions. Inspect finished and in-process products to ensure they meet defined quality and performance standards. Package products accurately and securely to prepare them for shipment or further processing. Perform routine quality checks and visual inspections throughout the production process. Monitor machinery and equipment during operation and promptly report any malfunctions, defects, or irregularities to supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and 5S principles. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times. Meet or exceed daily production goals, efficiency targets, and productivity standards. Assist with material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, staging, and moving parts or materials as needed. Support general production activities, including picking, packing, and line support, to keep operations running smoothly. Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisors to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain a positive work environment. Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors regarding production status, quality concerns, and safety issues. Adapt to changing production priorities and support overtime needs when required to meet customer demand. Essential Skills Ability to operate basic production machinery and hand tools safely and correctly. Ability to follow written work instructions, diagrams, and verbal directions accurately. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency. Capability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and pace on a production line. General labor and assembly skills, including handling, fitting, and positioning parts. Ability to work effectively on a production line, including picking, packing, and assembling tasks. Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules. Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed to meet production demands. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with general labor in an industrial or warehouse setting is beneficial. Background in assembly, production line work, or manufacturing operations is advantageous. Experience with loading, picking, packing, and similar material handling tasks is helpful. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors. Comfort working around large industrial equipment and machinery in a fast-paced setting. Team members follow strict safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) due to the nature of the equipment and processes. The workspace requires maintaining a clean, organized, and safe area, with regular housekeeping to support efficient operations. You can expect a hands-on, industrial setting where collaboration with coworkers and supervisors is essential to meeting production goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of
MOUNT STERLING, KY.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
