Light Industrial Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Light Industrial Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will participate in various assembly processes, maintain inventory, and contribute to our continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities Participate in counting inventory for cycle counts and maintain stock, including tagging, stacking, sorting, and organizing. Measure, cut, crimp, wrap, and affix fittings on ends of hoses for shipment. Clean equipment and all shop areas to ensure a tidy workspace. Engage in lean activities and adhere to safety regulations. Regularly propose improvements and work on continuous improvement projects focusing on lean, quality, and safety. Perform duties of a level 1 helper as needed. Independently complete production and assembly tasks. Assist in order entry and perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in using a tape measure and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with wiring, assembly lines, and inspection processes. Capability to lift 50 pounds independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembling hoses and using crimpers. Basic computer skills and familiarity with PC operations. Forklift and pallet jack experience are preferred. Be prepared to learn every part of the shop and embrace cross-training. The role requires working independently and in small teams once fully trained. The position is for the first shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Marsh, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
