Job Description
SDE has been awarded 5 megawatts of new carport systems for high profile projects, in addition to our current backlog. To meet project deadlines, we will need to add three new welders to our team. New welding machines are on the way, and additional fixtures are being prepared. We will also be installing a new tube laser cutting machine on June 1st to further increase our efficiency and output. Seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our expanding team in Albion, MI specializing in the manufacturing of Solar Carport Systems. Ideal candidate will play a critical role in producing high-quality structural assemblies to meet the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions. We recently opened a second facility to support the higher demand for structural assemblies. Now, we are expanding our team. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently is paramount. We need reliable welders who can work M-F, single 8-hour shift from 6:30am
- 3:00pm. Overtime will be authorized in June, July, August, & September. Top candidates must take a MIG welding and measurement test on site. If you are called for an interview, please bring your gear.
- Candidates with a minimum 5 years of experience is required.
- Welding certification is recommended but not required.
- Standard knowledge of fixturing, fabrication and welding techniques
- Responsible for producing quality assemblies and inspecting various stages of production.
- Blueprint reading experience required
- Must be mechanically inclined and assembly skills are needed.
- Use of measurement equipment, calipers and height gages to inspect/ control specifications.
- Resumes are mandatory to submit for this position.
- Perform multi pass welds on structural members using MIG to ensure strong and durable assemblies.
