Production Assembler

Job Title:

Production Assembler Job Description We are seeking Production Assembly Technicians to join our team and work on cutting-edge fuel cells for the railroad industry and drones for the aviation industry. The role involves working on either the 1st shift from 5am to 3:30pm or the 2nd shift from 2pm to 12:30am, with voluntary overtime available after full training. Responsibilities Batch and mix materials, including the use of scales. Perform machine operations using hand tools. Operate mechanical equipment efficiently. Carry out assembly operations with precision. Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE. Record data accurately and as specified. Maintain work area according to 5S standards. Ensure duties meet quality, part, and production specifications. Routinely perform up to three Standard Processes. Communicate effectively and take direction constructively as required. Report issues or concerns to maintain successful operations. Exercise independent judgment within primary job functions. Punctuality and consistent presence are critical in this position. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills Mechanical assembly Batch mixing Machine operation Assembly and fabrication Quality inspection Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 2 years of small part assembly experience. Proficiency in using small hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, screw drills, hand drills, snips, dryers, etc. At least 6 months of machine operation experience or a willingness to learn. Ability to see color for wiring tasks. No issues with dexterity. Computer literacy, including navigating spreadsheets, watching training videos, and working in test stations. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
