Production Assembler Description:
The Production Assembler at Thompson Surgical Instruments is responsible for assembling medical device components using a variety of tools and machines to meet customer quality standards and specifications in a team environment. Thompson Retractor provides a fulfilling environment, clean workspace with modern equipment. In addition, Thompson is employee-owned and vested employees automatically receive company shares. Daytime hours!Responsibilities:
Responsible for following safety policies and procedures. Perform a variety of duties to assemble all types and sizes of product, components, and sub-assemblies using a variety of standard machines or hand tools. Start up, operation, and shutdown of manufacturing equipment. Will be required to buff, blast, press, solder, weld, inspect, measure/gauge parts per product requirements. Consistently meet daily production goals (95% acceptable work) while building a high-quality product, part or subassembly to specification. Provide feedback on new and existing procedures and parts. Work in a team environment and collaborate well with others. Bring production issues to the attention of the Assembly Supervisor and Lead. Must be able to work overtime when required and report to work on a regular, punctual basis.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and work orders. Able to perform basic math calculations and use measuring devices/tools. Strong attention to detail. Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills and knowledge of shop equipment.
