Assembly Technician Job Description As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling products and operating equipment safely, productively, and ergonomically while ensuring the manufacture of quality parts and assemblies. Responsibilities Assemble, package, and label products. Operate equipment and tools such as impact wrenches, drills, mallets, screwdrivers, and pneumatic rivet guns. Maintain a continuous level of productivity with supervision. Produce quality finished goods with acceptable workmanship and minimal quality issues. Maintain assembly jigs, hand tools, and equipment in good working order. Possess basic product knowledge, including which types of wheels belong on specific products, model numbers, bearings, nuts, and bolts. Keep a clean and organized workplace by correctly placing tools and hardware, sweeping the floor, and disposing of trash properly. Notify the Production Supervisor of tools in need of repair, low inventory items, and poor quality of assembled products. Accurately read assembly drawings for dimensions, parts lists, assembly instructions, and critical-to-quality specifications. Perform tasks safely, including wearing safety glasses and gloves as per Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing assembly is preferred. Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals. Experience with order picking, warehouse operations, and general production. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with packaging, assembly, labelling, packing, and hand tools. General labor skills including math and use of a tape measure. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.47 - $19.47/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
