Assembler Job Description This entry-level position on the 1st shift involves assembling mechanical and electric components for various machines, pressure vessels, and protective equipment. The role requires attention to detail and quality control. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical and electric components, valves, and personal protective equipment such as helmets, hoses, and air canisters. Utilize tools, vises, and fixturing, applying critical thinking skills. Inspect units for quality, workmanship, and leaks, performing repairs or adjustments as needed. Occasionally work in other areas as assigned. Seek out and implement continuous quality improvements. Essential Skills Ability to use hand and power tools for assembly. General production knowledge. Skills in mechanical assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in paint preparation, customer service, packaging line, retail, production packaging, landscaping, loading/unloading trucks, picking, packing, and warehouse packing. Ability to learn to read and interpret work instructions and drawings within 90 days of hire. Ability to learn to use basic powered and non-powered tools within 90 days of hire. Ability to match parts numbers from drawings and job orders to parts bins and labels. Essential attendance and punctuality. Why Work Here? It is a non-climate-controlled environment that can get hot during summer when bay doors are open. Requires moderate to heavy exertion, lifting 5-40 pounds regularly, with continuous standing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.46 - $17.46/hr.
