1 •Preferred Candidate is identified•MSA Safety in Jacksonville, North Carolina is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as an Assembler II in a manufacturing environment. This position will report the Production Supervisor. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you. In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks: Assembly of a limited variety of products or sub-assemblies of small, light to average weight parts following standard procedures. Assembly and fitting parts to close tolerances including a ligning, fitting, and adjusting parts to meet operating requirements of unit. Use of hand and/or power tools. May perform incidental electrical, mechanical connection assembly. Refer to drawings, diagrams, or blueprints as guides for performing assembly tasks. Package finished products. Other general assembly and material handling tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications Requirements:
Ability to: read and write, ability to comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions. demonstrate adequate dexterity to reach acceptable levels of efficiency. demonstrate mechanical skills, ability to use hand and power tools. lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly. stand for extended periods of time. adapt to changing priorities and good disposition to interact and communicate with employees at all organizational levels. comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions. Must have no disciplinary action records for any reason at or above the written warning level within the previous twelve months.
High School Diploma or GED Preferred:
6 months in a manufacturing environment Previous MSA experience
