Job Description
Shift:
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. overtime as needed.
Position Summary:
Assemble different components or parts of semi-finished or finished goods, in order to prepare a product to be ready to begin the shipping process, and ultimately complete client orders.
Essential Functions:
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies Verifies specifications by measuring completed component Keep the area clean and organized Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs requires Input and maintain data in ERP computer system/Global Complete paperwork/job sheets required for the area Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Assist in other areas as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 2-3 years of assembly experience Solid background working with sheet metal Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance Must show an aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills Good color discernment and color vision Follow written and verbal instructions Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way Configure bend allowance for sheet material (Not a requirement, but a plus) Ability to read blueprints and a knowledge of engineered specified tolerances Basic computer skills and the ability to read and follow instructions Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if needed
Environmental Conditions:
Humidity level may be elevated during the summer months Exposure to loud noise, at times
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently Able to stand on your feet for at least ten hours a day
