Job Description

Position Summary:
As a Shop Fabricator, you will work hands-on with belting materials to fabricate, weld, assemble, and finish belts to customer specifications. This role involves precision, craftsmanship, and consistency. You will operate specialized machinery, follow detailed work instructions, and ensure every product meets our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate lightweight conveyor belts and timing belts according to work orders. Operate shop equipment including presses, welders, grinders, slitters, and cutting tools. Prepare belts for fabrication (measuring, cutting, skiving, punching, tooth removal, etc.). Perform finger splicing, overlap splicing, mechanical lacing, and other joining methods. Install cleats, V-guides, profiles, and other belt accessories using heat welding or adhesives. Follow detailed fabrication specs, drawings, and templates. Inspect finished belts for dimensional accuracy and quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Work collaboratively with shop leads, production coordinators, and quality control.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in conveyor belt fabrication is a plus, but not required for entry-level roles. Any other experience in any manufacturing job is also a plus
Education:
High School Diploma required. Any other extra degree is preferred but not required.
Technical Knowledge:
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and industrial equipment. Ability to read and understand measurements, tolerances and shop drawings.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Attention to
Detail:
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and working Been able to lift 50 lbs.
